FORT GIBSON TOURNAMENT
MARCH 21, 2009

Our Fort Gibson was a fun outing despite the chilly temps and brisk winds. We had overnight showers and it seemed to affect the bite on Saturday but a lot of fish were caught, just not many big ones. We had 12 teams braving the elements and all but 2 teams brought fish to the scales. I believe there was 5 teams entered who regularly fish the Pole Benders Tournaments. All were a great group of guys and a pleasure to meet and get acquainted with. I look foreward to fishing with them again.

Here are the results from the tournament:

First Place went to Jerry Kropff and Doren Smith. They had 61.53 lbs and a big fish of 16.75 lbs. They won $518.00 and first place trophys.

Second place went to Carol and Marvin Williams. They had 52.57 lbs and a big fish of 11.47 lbs. They won $345.00 for their efforts.

Third place went to Randy Jones and Ray Armstrong. They had 50.60 lbs and the big fish of the tournament of 21.98 lbs. They won $120.00 for big fish.

Fourth place went to JR and Jackie Swafford. They had 33.7 lbs and a 7.4 lb big fish.

Fifth place was William Downs and Ronald Teague. They had 32.98 lbs and 8.58 for big fish.

Sixth place went to Billy Dahlem and Kelly Choate. They had 32.27 lbs and 7.08 big fish.

Seventh place went to Jason Kropff and Cullen Mock. They had 27.10 lbs and 7.90 big fish.

Eighth place went to Jesse Vaughn and Frank Vaughn. They had 19.11 lbs  and 6.63 for big fish.

Ninth place went to Bill Groves and Earl Day.

Tenth went to Aaron Harrell and Jelly Harrell.

Eleventh  place went to Edward Miller and Dustin Sipes.

Twelfth place went to Henry Walker and Steve Raney.
